Average Joe asked: One of the reasons I asked was also because I’m still a rookie at investing and wanted to hear some opinions. I’m as green as can be when it comes to stock market investing, and I understand people lost lots of money, but is the drop really a reason to be nervous? I understand it’s a sign there might be a change in the lending market, but is this a reason to be nervous about investing in the stock market or to start trading all your stocks? I mean it’s not like the America is an unstable country. It’s no reason to start pulling all of your money out of the stock market, right? This is a proven market that should stabilize itself in a while, no? Is this just an opportunity to buy cheap stocks?
Chime in on the stock market plunge?

Miss Yahoo asked: I heard that the housing market being low in sales and with the forclousure market crashing, it is affecting investors so much that they are moving money out of equities (stocks) and investing more in safer investments. Thats why the stock market has been down so much in the past week.
How does this happen? I was reading about it, but I didn’t really understand. Are investors pulling out their stocks from big lenders? How exactly does it affect the stock market? I need help understanding it in normal terms that make sense.
Please advise, thank you!!

Persephone85 asked:
My financial advisor advised me to move more of my investments into the bond market. He said that equities have been at all time highs, and the market is expected to correct itself sometimes between summer and this winter. However, I can’t find any articles on this expected correction. Anyone know more about this? Also, what are some good online news organization where I can read articles about the stock market?

NewToStocks asked:
Such as: Do foreclosure increases affect the stock market and in what ways? What happens when deeds recorded decrease? What happens to the stock market when median home prices go down? What happens when new construction permits decrease? This is of course referring to residential real estate, but what about commercial real estate? Thank you very much for your input.

Matt Humberto asked: I’m interested in “leveraged indexes” (ex., SSO) that imitate the general movement of the stock market with increased power. However, if the market plummets, I’m twice as in trouble as I’d normally be.
I know that predicting the market is a difficult if not impossible task, but are there any early “warning signs” to warn me of an upcoming recession?
Historically, how many times have corrections (10% drop in the market) turned into a true, full-blown recession (20% drop or more in the market)?
Thanks for your help!
Correction: By “recession” I meant a bear market. Sorry for the confusion of terms.

Bob Smith asked: I’ve heard the stock market is an indicator of future economics. We’ve seen a little improvement in the market recently, indicating economic recovery, but when? Also, why does the stock market say it likes Hillary Clinton as VP?
Basically, I’m interested what messages the stock market sends in general.
